Shane "DrummerBoy" McCosky

Coming out of Gilberts, Illinois with a pretty big bang, my friends I give you Shane McCosky.

Not only is he an incredible drummer but he is one of the nicest new friends that I have.

Playing the drums since he was 6 years old, it was destined that he learned. His father was also a drummer and that's how he started learning. Now, at 24 years old, he is teaching other people the talent and paying it forward.

Shane is in not only one band but two and he still makes the time to post his cover videos on YouTube! That's quite the dedication if I may say so myself. He also has two different kits and rocks the hell out of both of them.

Some of Shane's biggest influences are: Phil Rudd (AC/DC), John Bonham (Led Zepplin), Arejay Hale (Halestorm), John Fred Young (Black Stone Cherry), and Zac Farro (Paramore). I had asked him since he has such a range of influences, who he likes to cover the most. He had answered, AC/DC, Paramore, and Shinedown.

I'm truly happy that I was able to interview Shane and get to know his style a little bit more. He's an incredible guy with an amazing talent and I look forward to keeping in touch with him and seeing him go far! As Shane had previously told me, he loves to see the look on people's faces when he's performing. Well, I hope one day that's in front of thousands!
